Focus

Autoimmune, skin and joint issues, low mood and depression, preventative and active health

Living with a long-term condition is exhausting.

Mornings begin stiff and sore. Evenings end in discomfort. Skin flare-ups arrive unpredictably, eroding confidence and concentration. For many, low mood or depression sits alongside it, wearing down energy, motivation and enjoyment. Over time, the cycle of flares, medications, and partial relief can feel relentless — and deeply discouraging.

Many people find themselves relying on antihistamines or painkillers just to function. When these stop working, stronger options like steroids, immunosuppressants, or biologics are introduced — often with significant side effects, concerns about long-term dependence, and still the nagging sense that the underlying problem hasn't been touched.

Why am I not getting better? What is actually driving this? Are there natural approaches that could work alongside what I'm already taking?

These are exactly the questions I work with people to explore.

I have lived this journey myself.

Long before I became a practitioner, I was a patient living with the health conditions I now help others with every day.

As a teenager, I lived with chronic cystic acne for years — the kind that is like large boils that lasted for days and weeks on end and quietly erodes your confidence in ways that are hard to put into words. I tried what was available. Nothing got to the root of it.

Later, as a competitive sprint kayaker, I was forced to retire due to a serious autoimmune disorder affecting my joints. For three years, I relied on strong, costly pharmaceutical medications. They were effective at controlling the pain and inflammation — but every time I tried to wean off them, the pain came back. I began to realise that these medications were suppressing symptoms, not treating the root causes.

I tried everything I could find: supplements, elimination diets, lifestyle overhauls, biohacking gadgets, self-experimentation. Even fasting up to 29 days. I made incremental progress but never got fully better. The root causes were never nipped.

After completing my first degree, I decided to study Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine. While job-shadowing a naturopath in Singapore, I tried his herbal protocols alongside a holistic naturopathic approach — and within three months, I was able to wean off the pharmaceutical medications that had defined my daily life for years.

That was 9 years ago. Today, I manage any flare-ups or relapses effectively using Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine — without dependence on pharmaceutical drugs.

I have also lived with recurrent depression. Nine years on, I manage any recurrence naturally too, using the same diet, lifestyle changes, herbs and supplements I recommend to my clients.

That experience didn't just change my health. It gave me a calling. I pursued formal training in New Zealand, graduating with a degree in Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine, and returned to Singapore where I spent five years under the mentorship of the same senior naturopath, developing clinical depth across a wide range of chronic and complex presentations.

I understand the frustration of not getting fully better — the façade that medications create when they suppress symptoms but not really treating the root causes. The worry that you might have to depend on them for life. And the quiet hope that there might be another way. That is exactly the space I work in — with empathy, clinical rigour, and a genuine commitment to your long-term wellbeing.

Please never change or stop prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor first. I work alongside your doctor, never instead of them.

Here's where I can help.

My role is not just to support your healing — it's to teach. Guided by the naturopathic principle of Docere ("Doctor as Teacher"), I help you understand what is driving your condition, how your body heals, and what practical steps you can take to create lasting change.

I can help you:

  • Make sense of your diagnosis, reports, and treatment options
  • Investigate more deeply and understand the root causes of your condition
  • Identify dietary, lifestyle, and environmental triggers
  • Guide you through evidence-based nutritional and herbal interventions
  • Assess and recommend practitioner-grade herbs and supplements suited to your needs and budget
  • Develop a clear, personalised Wellness Plan — a structured roadmap for your healing

Who I support

Whatever brings you here, my approach takes the whole person into account — physical, mental and emotional — not just the presenting complaint.

Autoimmune and joint health

If you are living with an autoimmune condition or long-standing joint pain, I look with you at the triggers, diet, lifestyle habits and herbs that may support your body, always alongside the care of your doctor.

Chronic skin concerns

For long-standing skin concerns such as eczema, psoriasis or acne, we look beyond the skin to the gut, stress, diet and lifestyle factors that may be driving flare-ups, and build a plan to support your skin and your confidence.

Low mood and depression

Low mood can feel heavy and isolating. I offer an unhurried, judgement-free space to explore the physical and lifestyle factors that may be affecting your mood, and to build gentle support through food, lifestyle and herbs. I work alongside your doctor or therapist. If you take any medication, especially for mood, please tell me, because some herbs and supplements can interact.

Preventative and active health

If you are well and want to stay that way, or you want to look after your training, work and daily energy, we can build a plan around your routine. You do not need to be an athlete. Herbs, food and lifestyle can support anyone's recovery, resilience and everyday vitality. I trained competitively for ten years and still maintain my own daily fitness routine. Since I got into this field, I have found that certain herbs, traditionally used to support recovery, can also support how our bodies adapt to exercise. If you compete in tested sport, please tell me first, as some herbal products can cause problems in anti-doping tests.

You don't have to live with this.

God has graciously provided us with natural medicine and the wisdom to heal holistically. There is always a path forward. Book your consultation today and begin your personalised roadmap toward lasting wellness.
